Hello from St. Louis. Getting started in hammock camping in preparation for a motorcycle trip with my dad and brother next June.
Starting here and riding up to Clancy, MT and then north west over to the coast in Washington state and back down through Coeur d’alene, ID and back through Montana and then home. Roughly 5k miles.
So I’ll be lurking around and asking questions as needed. Not needing extremely light. I’ve bought a HH Jungle Safari zip and hex silnylon tarp, HH pad and some titanium stakes to get started. I’ve set it up in my brothers machine shop to test and practice setup. I find it comfortable for a quick lay, but will set it up outside and overnight to get a real feel.
