Any NB winter campers on the forum?
The recent snow got me pretty excited about future snowshoeing / hammock camping trips

I'm not in NB but I can tell you that I camp year round in Ontario. There is no vacation from camping, camping IS my vacation!
-21c is my lowest.
I started out using a -12 sleeping bag and thermarest (and 1 hammock) but over the last 3 years have progressed and spent the dollars on gear. It's been expensive but I don't regret any of my purchases.
I now have 2 goose down UQs. One bridge hammock and one gathered end. I also have a goose down TQ. The gathered end UQ and my TQ are DIY from Costco quilts.
I'm really fortunate in that there's a group of guys and girls here that meet regularly so we get to learn, test gear and sell stuff at least every 3 months. One of the "pre-winter" meet ups in January is at a campground with heated washrooms nearby so if you're testing - your worst case scenario is not so bad.
I'm in halifax, I'm sure we could work something out
There was an Eastern Great Lakes hang for Hammock Forums 2 weeks ago. It set a record for a few of us... -25c. Three packed up and did not do the Saturday night. The first night was enough!
