Thanks for the replies gang. Lots of options for sure. I'm thinking about going with the velcro and maybe just placing 3 6" strips down the door edges. One below where the suspension goes through, one at the bottom and one in the middle.

By all means, let's argue about whether or not a hammock will hurt a tree. All the while ignoring the fact that there is an island of garbage the size of Texas floating in the Pacific ocean. Or how about the fact that over 75% of the world's nuclear reactors are leaking...
I have done both; The velcro is bulky and heavy. I sewed it in. I just put the cam snaps on a tarp I just made as a test to see how they would work on another tarp I'm making as a gift. They work nice but I would be careful opening them up as not to rip them out of the material. I am using 1.1 silpoly and it is very thin.
A small square of grosgrain would be very helpful. leave an edge for something to grab.
sounds good to me. I'll try a test strip.
I've got snaps on my Winter Dream and they are great! Love them. I find them to be light and a solid connection. Excellent batten down the hatches mode.

But wait! Order in the next 10 minutes...
(heavy sarcasm for those humor-challenged folk, not a serious suggestion)
I gave thought to using ZPacks velcro.. it's got a little less 'bite' than standard velcro, but I had visions of picking bits of everything and sticking to my clothing every time I passed it.
I also considered the side squeeze bracelet clips pictured earlier, but once I tried squeezing them I knew I didn't want those either.
I source these small clips.. I've been calling them micro biners, but maybe they are micro mitten clips? One on each doors line. I can clip them to the opposite doors tie out ring, to the opposite corners ground stake, to a common center stake, around a tree and clipped back to itself or outside the tarp clipped either to other ends door clip or to the other ends side panel pull out. Super easy to do in the dark, with gloves.. doesn't make a difference..
Pictured above attached to shock cord that is attached to micro cord at each door corner, but I have since moved the shock cord to a loop at the corner tie out in the same fashion as tarp worms. shock cord loop -> mini ucr -> micro cord -> micro biner
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Can you give a link? I ordered something like that and they were way too tiny. 2mm was the jaw not the hole I guess?
