Hey Te-wa that is pretty cool lookin' dude! So the "wings" are just there more or less to attach the suspension to? I wonder if it's even necessary to add insulation to them and instead add more down in the main baffles? It's great to see the innovation continue in this exciting field.

drewboy, the wings as you call them are an integral part and offer a bit of loft too.. they need loft so heat cannot escape up and out the sides. it was hard to get a steep diagonal due to the shape of the baffles so the angle is just right, while remaining equal width on both ends. btw, my simple but functional website is now up and running to those interested.. www.tewaunderquilts.webs.com/

Don't know man, I'm still not seeing it. I'm running under the assumption that you only need the loft/warmth where you lie, and the corner wing areas are there to possibly block wind from getting under the quilt and provide something to attach your suspension to, which has to stay aligned in the direction of your hammock. I hope you're planning to bring one of these beauties to the upcoming AZ hang so I can get straightened out.

I like the diagonal baffles a lot. Cool design!

Mike, I don't see top quilts on your site. Were they just custom jobs or prototypes?
