Adding tie-out points to hammock with knotty mod?

I've been thinking I want to add pack hooks to my 11' Hexon 1.0 hammock to use as tie-out points just to give me a little more space under certain conditions, but I am curious if I should even do this, as I have a knotty mod on this hammock.

Is there a way to add pack hooks and stake out the foot end while still maintaining the functionality of the knotty mod, or would the tension this would add around the shock cord defeat the purpose and stretch it too far to maintain the benefit?

Looking for any advice or experience anyone has in this realm. Thank you!

You could set up the hammock and have a helper hold the edge of the hammock out at the point you want to install a pack hook. This might show whether you'll wish to proceed or not.
