    suspension on 3/4 uq help

I'm having a little trouble with the suspension on my 3/4 length UQ.

    Here is my set up:

    WB traveler with buckles
    anchor points 15 feet apart
not exactly 30 degrees, but comfy

Last time I gave this a shot, I was using same UQ- the wilderness logics bud UQ.
I had a comfy lay, but when I tightened up my suspension, the UQ was popping up to one side of my hammock.
I want it to just stay under me and cover the shoulders, torso, and butt section. I have a pad for the foot box.

I had to sell my hammock stuff and then wait to re buy, so I can't remember if it worked on a channel suspension or not..

Was the UQ sliding off on your head or foot side? If it was popping up on your head side, then you need to make sure the primary suspension is above than your feet. If the suspension is below your feet, the UQ will slide off.

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by higher than my feet? Do you mean where I'm attaching the suspension to the foot end?

I use Triangle Thingies on my XLC. Works very well keeping the UQ centered. I use them on top and below the suspension line. Either way works for me.

Its has nothing to do with where you hook the quilt on your hammock. What I mean is you have to pull your underquilt up on your foot side untill you feel the suspension slip over your feet. If your quilt isn't pulled far enough to the side of your body, then it will have a tendency to slide off. The same goes for your head end. Make sure your quilt is pulled up over your shoulder. This will allow the position of your body to hold it in place.

Hope this makes more sense now!
