I am not leaving here till 1:00 which means I will get to the trail head about 2:30. I don't have time to get lost. Is the parking easy to find on rucks dairy road, and is the blue trail well marked. The may I downloaded only has blue and yellow, but the map on the first post is too small to read. Just want to be sure I am prepared. I have two others coming along with me on their first hike. I want it to be good.
The essential part of me can not be discussed here. Ask me in person.

Parking is available at the kiosk, near the park entrance, and then another 1/4 mile down Ruck's Rd. from the kiosk.
Trails from the kiosk are well marked, it's an old two-track from the other parking lot.

Sunset if you hike in from the kiosk on the orange just stay on it until you locate a small white diamond sign on a post then trun left or east toward camp. If you come in on the blue follow it until you reach the orange then turn right or south to the diamond. The two track (road) Mike mentions will fork take the left fork until reaching the orange trail and follow it to the sign.

Leaving here by 0930 eta 1100.

Ahhhhh, so nice to see the grizzled veterans from our very first trip on the forest at Hidden Hammock (with the original sherpa)! I know that Marty had to go home early so he wasn't in the photo. I haven't been on the forum much... is Marty still making it to some of the hangs?

Yes Dave, Marty is still out there with us.
Life prevents us from hitting every hang, even though the desire is there!
Hope life is treating you good and you find some hangers in the PNW.

Hello Dave, ready to try thr AT this spring?
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

Sadly I haven't been out much but I'll finally have some time and ability to do some hiking and camping. I'm doing some ground camping here and there (just got back from an overnighter) but hope I can get some hammock time in as well.
