Planning on a making a winter (10F) underquilt using the UQ_Calc spreadsheet from Boston/Catsplat/Gaget, but need to check out a few things before purchasing fabric.

1. Is there any advantage of a 5" channel width vs a 4"? I know that the 5" will reduce the number of channels thus some sewing time but not sure if there are any other advantages.

2. I reviewing pictures of the Hammockgear Incubator, it appears that there is a change in baffle depth in the footbox (maybe 1.5 inches vs 2.5 inches??) as well as a shorter differential in the outershell. Has anyone tried to copy this or have one that can confirm?

Thanks to all in advance
