Let’s see...I have a double layer Multicam, a single layer 1.5 Multicam and a single layer 1.1. Guess what? I can get comfortable in every one of them. I have a couple of single layer 1.1 Ridgerunners (laying in one of them as I type this). I suppose the double layer Multicam feels stiffer than the 1.1...for what that’s worth lol.

Weight limit is one thing. Comfort preferences are another. Maybe I’m just lucky that I can fall asleep in any of them and be totally satisfied. Definitely a HYOY wormhole.

Don’t be afraid to reduce your hammock weight just because there is a table or chart that is available to “get you in the probable ballpark.” I recommend you find a friend that has what you are considering and ask him or her if you can try it. I’ve been hanging in my 1.1 now for 6 years on most trips and (knock on wood) I haven’t had any durability issues.

I am looking for one ......as soon as another one pops up on the FS forum.

    I'm on it.

    My target weight is 175.

I hit 178 last week.....then the hams arrived this past weekend.

It took me a few months but I finally scored a 1.1 BB.

I will see how much tweaking can be done to it.

I sometimes wished I went with a 1.1SL. I have an old 1.1 DL from 2012 which I love but have no use for the double layers. Just starting out I figured I would use a pad...never did/never will.

I like to think the DL is giving me a more comfortable feel at 170lbs, but I'm on the edge there.

    I am 180# and 5'-11"

We will see. I am trying to gear down the pack weight for summer.
