Underquilt "end baffle" Question

Hey guys I'm in the process of building a DIY underquilt and I can't figure out the best way to attach a baffle on the bottom of the under quilt to block the draft similar to the way local libre does it. Is anyone Done this or have any suggestions? Should I just make a tube of fabric and sewing on at the edge of the end channel?

What I did for a recent top quilt was to add an additional 9 inches of fabric to my inner shell and use that additional fabric to create the draft tube and sew it into the top edge and the sides.

planning on doing the same thing for an upcoming UQ. Adding 9 inches to each side will give me a 4 inch draft tube on each end

For my CDT-UQ I used the cut off squares [3 rows], cut in half and folded over [1/2@ each end/centered]. The "downy" end seam got covered with a strip of material to make a channel for the secondary suspension to run thru.

For a single CDT-UQ temp range, it was probably overkill, but I had the material right to hand, so....
