yes you can definitely bring kids. Just know there is no running water or flush toilets. I have brought mine before. I am not sure if they will be joining me for this one.

Word of warning though, it can get kind of loud around the campfire at night, so if your son is a light sleeper, I'd recommend setting up your camp away from the main fire pit
well maybe after a certain time those around the fire need to tone it down some. Voices carry in the piney woods... Perhaps just to be polite and good neighbors... also if you are loud and plan on sleeping late you cant be angry if a kid is up an loud early. that is how little kids roll. haha there are technically no quiet hours but to keep peace perhaps we can show the quality of the people who hang out on hammock forums by keeping voices low after a certain hour.

It is supposed to be family friendly anyway.

I'm in, thanks to Tacoma for dragging me back(I mean letting me know). I've been busy looking for a new house to rent, and now moving house. Seems like it's taking forever, can't be because this crazy weather..

This is a brainstorm, thanks Tom

Also I had a brain glitch or phone glitch or both and could not see some of my posts yesterday, so I posted about the same post three times in a row

Great Tim glad you will be there.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

Hmm, I may need a tarp a little more stout for full on woods living. I wonder if Dutch could do a kevlar fabric and have (I forget his name) make me a tarp-mahal that would top the likes of Hotlips double stand tarp.

I've got a new Squidbilly Custom I'll be showing off at Yates this year; At the Grayson Hang it was affectionately named the Taj Mahal, its fantastic and I've loved it so far.
