Slight change of plans for me. Ducking out of work early today isn’t going the way I had intended. I’ll be driving up tomorrow morning instead and only spending one night.

I look forward to meeting everyone.

Had to bail and didn't even make it there. Farmer Ron and I camped last night in the Red River Gorge on the way to Grayson. About 2:30 in the morning I got up, walked a little ways, and started to pass out. Got so bad I couldn't find my way back to the hammock. Then I passed out, fell hard on my face, and probably broke a rib. Fortunately, I was able to call out to Ron, who turned on his light and guided me back to camp. Not sure why that happened, though I'm pretty sure I have the flu. Decided going on to Mount Rogers was not the smartest plan in the world.

Going to miss you guys-- again. Have a good time, and maybe I'll make it out there next year, if the Mount Rogers curse allows.
