Excellent report and these are trails I want to knock out this winter. Does GAIAs existing trail logs follow the trial closely? It sounds like it could be easy to get off trail on 210 and having these loaded may help?

We hiked 210 in December 2016 going south to north. Depending on the amount of leaves and recent traffic it may be easy to get off trail. We certainly did, but we didn't worry about it too much, just followed the ridgeline and hit 223 near Braziel trailhead. It's on my list of trails to walk again, little traffic, nice rock formations to see and lots of open spots suitable for hanging. I certainly would not worry about losing the trail because the lay of the land guides you anyway, especially if you consult a compass now and then.

Cool. Thanks guys.
Excellent trip report. I'd love to hike in Sipsey some day, I need a good guide =)
Good luck preparing for your 26 miler. That distance is no joke! looks like you're off to a good start.

What a great mission, the Make A Wish Hike! You are the MAN.
You will really like the trail runners too. IMHO How did the feet do on this one?
Fantastic trip report, as always.
Thanks for the kind words. Feet did well on this hike. One small blister on heel of right foot. I saw it coming late in the hike and I was close enough to finishing I ignored the hot spot. Nothing major.
My legs the next day were a totally different story.....
