Palmetto State Hangers invites you to join us for Spring Swing @ Santee 2018 on beautiful Lake Marion.

Cost: FREE for Supporting Members and kids
$5 per adult for non-supporting members
Bathrooms: Flush toilets on site
Showers: in regular campground (walking trail access)
Water: spigot on site
Parking: along road adjacent to sites and at boat ramp at the end of the camping area
Groceries/restaurants: park store has a few items, grocery store in Santee (~5 miles), Lone Star BBQ (~3 miles), Cracker Barrel, KFC, Pizza Hut (Santee)
There are cabins available to rent in the park.
The lake is great for fishing and kayaking.
There are nice hiking trails in the park.
Meals:
Lone Star for Friday supper for those wishing to go.
Group meal Saturday supper.
All other meals on your own.
********Dutch Oven Cook-off*******
Our Saturday supper group meal will be a Dutch Oven Cook-off competition! Bring your best camp cooking skills and compete! PRIZES will be awarded! There will be three categories : Main Course, Side Dish and Dessert.
Cook-off Rules:
Each person may enter one dish per category.
All food prep and cooking must take place on site.
Food must be cooked and served in a Dutch Oven.
Each dish will be tasted by a team of judges.
Prizes will be given in each category.
Final instructions will be given Saturday at camp.

Hammock stands are welcome. Dogs are welcome...be aware that the lake does have gators, so keep your dogs leashed or under your control. This page will be updated as needed. Please share this event with your friends!
