Just curious, what does the Con refer to? Obviously not a Connecticut hang

Hammock Hanging Convention shortened to HangCon. It started in 2011 with the first Annual Florida Hang and has grown to 350+.
I know you don't like crowds, but you should come down to see the mass and the vendors and the food and the large area, enough to hang by yourself if you wanted

Sure, you can start marking your calendars already. The official planning thread will begin within the next 2 months so keep an eye out for it in the Trip Planning Forum and Southeast Sub-Forum. Early setup day will be on Thursday 17th and if you want to stay until Tuesday 22nd for cleanup, that would be very appreciated. So mark your calendar.
