For All Us Western Mountaineering Fans

Up until now & only recently having added a LL top quilt to my hammock gear, I've always used a variety of sleeping bags I've accumulated over the years, with my Western Mountaineering bags being my all time favorites. The quality & dependability have always been top notch, 1st rate, numero uno.

As a big WM fan, I thought I'd send them an email inquiring whether they had plans to add any top quilts to their product line up & to compliment their Slinglite under quilt. Here's the response I got:

We are adding 2 quilts called the Nanolite and the Astralite and they'll be available Spring 2018! Keep your eyes out and feel free to email us in a few months and we'll let you know more details as they become available.

Sweet! It'll be cool to see what they come up with.

That concludes your Public Service Announcement for today.

Their equipment is, without doubt, top shelf.

Looking forward to this. I ordered a Western Mountaineering bag on Monday for my son using Amazon and it was delivered on Tuesday. I knew they could now read minds or maybe they heard me taking about it through my Echo It was the fastest delivery I've ever received from Amazon.

I have one of their Megalite bags that i used for years. They make some really good gear.

I have a Versalite bag that I picked up full price a few years ago... easily my favorite piece of gear. That thing has kept my entire body extremely comfortable in the 20s and is rated for 10. Positive I could have pushed it into the teens.

On paper the weight seems excellent. I just wonder about the other features like differential cut and width.

Wow, just bought a Katabatic Gear Palisade, maybe I should have waited? On the other hand, I don’t see how they can top the Palisade; freaking awesome!
