    Sleeping bag pods.

I have a real nice huge rei down SB. I wonder, if you convert it to a pod, does it kind of make it useless for going back for SB Use ground alpine environments again. Or is it kind of converted too much st that point. I’ve never seen one off a hammock

Converting a larger sleeping bag into a pod is actually really easy. I made one out of an Ozark Trail cocoon 250 down sleeping bag. I simply sewed a zipper into the face of the foot box and then cut in between the teeth of the zipper. then I sewed 4 loops of grosgrain one on each corner of the bag and attach a shock cord suspension, works good as an underquilt or a zipped up pod. I can also take it off the hammock remove the suspension, zip shut the zipper in the foot box and it's a sleeping bag again.

By all means, let's argue about whether or not a hammock will hurt a tree. All the while ignoring the fact that there is an island of garbage the size of Texas floating in the Pacific ocean. Or how about the fact that over 75% of the world's nuclear reactors are leaking...

I keep eyeballing these as anther pod idea.....https://www.wiggys.com/sleeping-bags...ag-center-zip/
Kinda heavy but usually pulking when I go podding.
Seems roomy and putting a TQ inside and a UQ would be easy.

A center zipper sure makes things a lot easier, that's my only gripe about my makeshift pod system, it's a lefty zipper and I'm a righty, so sometimes it's a little bit of a contortion act to get it all zipped up. :<)

Those look cool. Thanks. Say Shug: I was watching one of your vids and this fella pulled out something I seen only one time on the forums. But it looked like a zipper less pod. Are those not relevant anymore. As I don’t see much about them. He said there was like over 20 oz over fill if I recall. Do you have any info or does anyone have info in that thing in Shug video. Thanks it looked like it took the place of two items.
