Too many choices out there. Everyone has their favorite for many different reasons. I suggest using what you have right now. Then, during the Hang weekend check out what everyone else has and get a better idea of what you might look for in a setup. Look at all the offerings on-line in the meantime. I have an ENO DoubleNest with the ENO tarp and bug net but looking to get a Geaux hammock since it’s longer and should give a better/flatter lay.
I have an UnderGround Quilts “Zeppelin 20” underquilt.

Hi, Planning to attend for first time. I have a questions. My understanding is that there are limited camp sites, so what happens if I get there and all the sites are taken? Are there other areas nearby for hanging?
If I headed out immediately after work Friday, I would get there around 6:30. Do you think I could set up before dark? I’ll try to practice before then, but I’m wondering if I should just wait til Saturday morning?

Most official "sites" with a table and fire ring have many trees and usually have multiple hangers.
I don't think we've had anyone without 2 trees to hang from in the past 2 years.
Most in our group would be more than willing to share their site's trees with another hanger.
And for the record, it's a national forest and "dispersed" camping is allowed in most areas, and there are many many trees in the areas leading into the campground area.
So, I would say you won't have an issue finding a couple trees to accommodate.
We look forward to having you there!
If you show up at night plenty of people with lights to help. It’s always a good idea to have a headlamp anyway.
Thanks for your prompt response.
