Anyone with a modicum of bushcraft skills should be able to whip up a Jersey barrier with little more than leaves, sticks, stone and mud in no time. That would deter any Jeep-jockey Rambos careening around the forest at night where people are hanging across the trail.

I love hanging my hammock on animal trials and snowmobile and ATV trails.....especially active ones.
    This is a great idea.
But I sleep in a Flexi-Duct now so maybe they will just see that reflection.

Shug is always out front with new and innovative ways to hammock. Not sure how secure Sector Seven is with this setup though.

    Carry on.

Actually,I like the Flexi-Duct idea until I pondered how I would get into and out of hammock inside the duct work.

Makes sense. It is a duct after all.

This suggestion is for when you set up camp in the dark. In daylight, of course you can see where you are. At night, you have no freaking idea, and a MV path can look like a clearing or fire break. Don't be so judgmental with the "crazy" without thinking it through.
