Bear Butt Switch-A-Roo

I have a bear butt hammock and want to switch out the wedding on each end. As I understand it I want to use continuous loops, correct me if I'm wrong, I see they come in different lengths 8 inch and 12 in most commonly... does anybody know what size I would use for a bear butt hammock?

8" will work fine.
