    Posting Pictures

I'm having trouble including pictures from Google Photos into the post between lines.
They show up as small thumbnails at the bottom.
I'd like medium sized pics in between the text itself.
(HF search was not helpful, and I couldn't find a FAQ or How-to)

I've been away for a while and I used to do this from my Picasa website, but that got rolled into Google Photo.

When I copy the link for the pic ( https://photos.app.goo.gl/B6PtEWHJh394ozat1 ) into the "Insert Image, use URL" I get an "Error: Invalid file".

    Any help appreciated
    ~bill.

I haven't been able to make my Google photos work either. When I want to post pics here, I upload them to my Hammock Forums gallery and use the links from there.

If you figure out a way to make the Google Photos work let us know!

I use Flickr as a dump. It's an extra step, but it is quick and handy. Additionally, I'm not loading up HF storage with photos that are only used in a single post.
UL to Flickr, and then I can choose the appropriate size for my post from their popup... paste link into my post and it loads the correct, selected size.
[I delete the second "url" that brackets a credit to me]

Based on prior experience, stay away from photobucket. I'm using Flickr for trip reports/public sharing and Google for my phone and picture backups.

I use IMGUR like others use Flickr. I set all my photos as private and use the auto-generated code links to control photo size when I paste into HF. Like the Flickr process, it is a bit clicky, but the results work well.
