    Leigh's 2/3 UQ 3 Season V2

Leigh has made a new version of her 2/3 UQ. She has made improvements to help make adjustments easier and to increase loft in the torso area. The chambers are different sizes to help keep insulation all the way to the edge and to increase loft in the center sections.

These changes were based on feedback from users of her original quilts.

The UQ is 41" x 46" and weighs average of 12.5 oz as pictured. This includes the (4) linelocs, (2) cord locks, and end shockcord. Quilt is made with 2" baffles that produce a minimum of 2.5" of loft. Center chambers will have even more loft. The quilt is overstuffed by 25% with 800+fp down and diff cut.

She changed the end adjustments from the corner to the center to help eliminate the cord clutter and also adds another attachment point if needed.

The original quilts had shock cord with slip knots for adjustment. This saved a gram or two but made adjustments harder for new users or while adjusting when laying in the hammock. Leigh has added linloc 3 adjusters to each corner to make these adjustments much easier. You can easily reach out and vent quilt or tighten with these adjusters.

She also added three tieouts on each side to help with attaching to asym hammocks. If you need to attach to a different point you can just attach a cord between the loops and attach to hammock at any point on quilt.

These changes were the result of feedback from users of her original 3 season quilt. You should be able to use this quilt from the mid 20's and up. I think the 2" baffle quilts are the most versatile for most users. They are easy to vent in warmer weather, the low end covers the temps that most people hammock camp in, and the weight is reasonable to pack.

Remember that the use of a pad is required for full coverage. The size of the pad will vary according to the temps and the user.

The quilts will come with a basic stuff sack made with the same material as the quilt and 20' of shock cord for you to use for quilt suspension.

Leigh has (4) available now. Price is $150 shipped. Paypal preferred but will take other forms of payment. Please post interest in this thread and PM for payment info.

Mighty fine looking quilt. And for only $150 is a steal.

I am interested. This will make number "2" for me. Since the first one was intended to go to my girlfriend's daughter, but never made it out of my personal gear stockpile. Maybe I can learn to share if I get another one. Thanks!

It should work fine on the WBBB. Some of the people that use the older version of this quilt added a tab to help keep pulled up over the shoulder. The new quilt has these tabs built in. With the asym hammocks like the WBBB the new lineloc adjusters should help with the fine tuning adjustments. The quilt also has side channels to run the the shockcord thru if you choose to use that style suspension.

I just wanted to mention that I have one of her original designs and it's a fine piece. If I had the budget, I'd be buying one of these!
