VIDEO: The Ribs Made ME Do It, TiedUp with Butter

Last weekend me and my friend (trail name Butter) had a great trip with all sorts of happenings. Hope you enjoy. We had a blast.

I thought I would dedicate this to my late Dad with whom I walked many a woods with as a kid. Dad taught me so much and If I had listened better, I would've learned so much more.
He grew up on a farm and knew every tree specie and knew so much about the natural world.
I play his music in this one. His voice makes me feel like he is still here and i'm a kid again and we are walking the trails together as he points out red oaks and deer tracks and coyote poo.

I enjoy working for my heat...it seems to make my food taste better. -Richard Proenneke

Enjoyed the watch, Stan. Y'all didn't go hungry that's for sure. looks like a successful test of your new axe! Also, I enjoyed your dad's music. I miss my dad too and wish he was here to teach me those things I didn't listen to when I had the chance.

    Great video!

Keep that meat off the ground, though.

You've just taught many lessons in one short video, but most people who watch it may never know.

Thanks for sharing the Tennessee countryside with us and giving a peak into some of the old tried and true practices.

Slow cooking and napping is a great way to spend the weekend. You will find the Gransfur Bruks hatch is great. You may want to pik up the forester ax as well. Great for cutting down the tree size you had picked.

    Yes sirree!
Been trying to buy that but they are in high demand and on backorder for months. I have the Husq version and I can't imagine anything chopping better. Got a video from last year chopping a big log with it, cuts like a dream. Still I lust after the GB! I think I'll try the Hults Aneby next because it's a mid size tween the Wildlife and Small Forest.

Looks like a great weekend trip Stan and now I'm hungry That sure was some fine food for the weekend. Grilled chicken, ribs, and then the bacon, that's a great weekend menu especially our in the woods. I know I now listen to my dad more than I ever did because as we age we finally mature enough to know just how much wisdom and knowledge our parents have and we appreciate it so much more. Thanks for taking us along on your trip and sharing your dads music with us.

    I think that nails it.

Too bad we can't start life with wisdom...the way it's setup, the more wisdom we get the less time we have to use it!

    Sadly ironic.
