I had a great time at my 4th NJWH.

I enjoyed sitting around the fire at site 4 with some familiar faces, and laughing at SilvrSurfr’s stories about Amsterdam prostitutes, Mr. Cheviot’s experiences with bananas, and syb’s clown shoes. It was great to see all the familiar faces, as well as meet a couple new ones.

Also, if you don’t have any plans Feb 16-18, you should consider coming down to Potomac, Md for the 3rd Capital Chilly Butt hang! Maybe we will have better winter weather for that one.

Thanks to the organizers, the cooks, the entertainers and campfire companions.

I know many like it cold, but I just thought the weather Saturday could not have been more perfect.

And I am glad to return home with an empty cooler. #noleftovers

    Looking forward to the pics.

I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

As usual, I didn't take many pics, but here are Syb and Pretbek enjoying the hammock couches at site 4.

And P47-Chowhound and Mattyoc20 doing the same.

You always have tasty treats! I regret missing them almost as much as I miss sleeping outside!

Just want to say again what great time this was. My brother-in-law and I were only able to get there on Saturday but we were able to meet a few people (not as many as I should have) and enjoy the event. Everyone we ran into was friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing! Can't wait to return next year and hang out both nights. Thanks again to the organizers and everyone who cooked (we contributed the Pic-A-Lilli wings).

I had a great time at my first winter hang. Great to see people I already know, and meet some new people. The food was amazing in the Coup-de-grace-de-grub! The grilled cheese was great! I think stickybuns might have won if they were entered!

Their winter Hang is car camping to accomadate more gear and more food is a fun way to stay warm.
In spring and fall the NJ hammockers sometimes hike in and canoe and kayak in. Then there will be less food and warmer weather and less gear. In spring and fall there are ways to get close to camp in cars. I think it's uncool to throw shade on other's celebrations of life in hammocks.
