I am reminded of the saying "Walk a mile in a mans shoes".
    I collect vintage camp stoves.
    I roast coffee at home.

You buy the ticket, you take the ride.

Or pull the pull the emergency cord and get off the train.

The only reason we buy cottage gear is that it is higher quality or lighter or offers features not found on mass-market gear sold at bigger retailers.

Good luck finding a DCF tarp at REI, or anything even remotely resembling the quality and superb design of an Incubator, or a superlight 7D 950fp top quilt like an EE Enigma, or a 1.5 lb backpack like an Arc Haul, or any of the myriad quality hammocks represented by the vendors on HF, or alcohol stoves like those from Trail Designs, Zelph and others.

And that's barely scratching the surface.

This is truly a new Golden Age for people who appreciate superb outdoor gear.

Not everyone wants, or needs, Dyneema. Nor does everyone care about the lightest gear, or any other bells and whistles you feel make things "superior". Be apologists all you want in your hammock zealotry. But i doubt if you would be so nice ordering something, then have them not have an answer once they failed to meet their own deadline. Do me a favor and pay a contractor to do a job, and wait around and get answers like "we are behind" and see how your frustration level is.
I don't doubt I will enjoy the quilt, I already have a 2 quilts and a tarp. However, to be asked to wait almost 3 months is bordering on ridiculous. Let us just all agree to disagree on this one.

If you don't need anything special, maybe shop at REI or Backcountry and avoid the wait.

My only option would be to get ENO. I'm frustrated, not desperate.

My wide camo 30* Burrow which I ordered last Thursday off the "In Stock" page arrived yesterday. Couldn't be more satisfied with it. I finally have my perfect top quilt "One-Two-Punch"; 0* long, wide Econ Burrow for the really cold outings, and the new 30* Burrow for the rest of the outings. Thanks HG!
