I made an alternative net suspension for my RidgeRunner. Check it out.

I was playing around and I think I came up with a new way to suspend your WBRR net

I removed the whole foot end net suspension because it wasn’t doing much. I then took some 1.75 zingit, half of a cinch bug, a toggle, a cord claw, and 2 shock cord end caps. I’m also using spider daisy straps and the mantis. You can get all but the cord claws over at Dutch’s place. Put it all together and you have what I think is a great alternate way to suspend your net! One great feature of this combination is it still allows for you to hang the cinch bug end from a higher point anywhere along the strap. I’ll just put some pics up and judge for yourself. You could also easily take just some of the ideas here and make your own variation.

Weight: 12.7g (lighter than the original solution by at least a few grams)

    interesting, whats the toggle for?

i like to run my shock cord straight up to the tarp ridgeline with a continuous loop prussic so i can slide it around, away from the rain outside the tarp

a mod i'm considering is sewing a hook under that attachment point so i can hang stuff inside where i can see it, I miss having a ridgeline under the bugnet

My guess is it stops the buckle at each sewn stop along the strap.
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

I like your thinking. The WBRR has little room for improvement however this is one thing that I've been thinking about too. I've got some aluminum rings from Clark Hammocks that they used to work as a drip line and an attachment point for their tarps. I'm going to add these rings to my WBRR for the netting! Thank for helping me to connect the dots (and pictures of hammock to follow).

What's wrong with the built in shock cord? It seems to me that using a non stretching cord may rip the bug net or at least put un-wanted stretch on it as you get in and move around but to be honest I've never even paid attention to the built in cord. I just clip it and move on.
