    Video: Hiking Peaks of Otter Sharp Top Trail Blue Ridge Parkway VA

    Was able to go up to the Peaks of Otter today to continue to dial in some cold weather hiking gear. Hope y'all enjoy the views!

    I regret so badly that I didn't goo out to Skyline more often when I lived in Manassas, Va. There just wasn't enough time when I was younger. Thanks for sharing and beautiful views.

    I've not hiked up Sharp Top in 10 yrs. Inspiration to get back up there. The Shelter is looking beat up. Have always wanted to get up there to catch a sunrise. Have you ever hiked Flat Top from the Picnic parking lot?

    Nice video. There's a story about how the AT got routed over the Peaks of Otter in the days before Skyline Drive. The route blazers thought they'd pull a trick on Myron Avery by marking a path over the impossibly steep tops, which he would reject. But he tricked them instead by approving their proposal, thus the AT went that way for years.
