I'll be sure to check it out. Might even pick your brain or anyone else who is willing about getting into some diy stuff.

Yeah, was quite a group last month. Good luck this weekend!

Yeah, same. I've got the Arch single with cinch buckles. That's why I went with one from Dutch. Cut the weight in half, from just over 20 oz with the Sheltowee to 10.5 oz with the Dutch. Which one have you got?

I've got the new "half shell" without the stuff sack she weighs in at a hefty 24 ounces and some change.

Considered having him make me a lightweight hammock with continuous loops instead of cinch buckles, but I could stand to lose the most weight in my top quilt at the moment (using a Paria 15 degree top quilt.)

Yeah, a little heavy, but honestly, that's the same weight as a lot of UL backpacking tents, so you're still coming out ahead in regards to comfort and such. I'm guessing that Paria is a little heavy. It's synthetic, right?

Just about everything I use now (Pack, Quilts, Hammocks) are DIY, only have myself to blame for something that doesn't meet expectation... Its rather satisfying when you "Nailed it"!
.... the Aardvark (earth pig)... a rather unremarkable creature whose sole claim to fame is that it is the first animal listed in the dictionary.

The Paria is duck down. But yeah, it's 49 ounces! Haha. The Sheltowee 12' hex tarp is 16.2, and the Sheltowee 20 degree underquilt is 36 ounces (weights may be a little off, but that's what my scale says.) A new top quilt is definitely on my list, and probably a tarp. The tarp leaked on me my first trip out and I've been waiting 3 weeks for him to fix or replace it.
