This sounds both interesting and doable for me. It would be my first hangout with hammock forums. I'm not sure what to expect other than probably a bunch of new friends...

I was in the same boat last spring! Basically, you find two trees, hang your hammock and organize your gear and everyone congregates around the fire and cooks and eats and people do demos of bushcraft stuff and compass work and some people had our to hike and there's usually a tour of everyone's hammock setup so you can learn how different people do stuff. It's super helpful for new hangers!!!
