16.2 F Last night in a Warbonnet system

I know it's no record by far but for me it's a new low in this system!
Warbonnet Winter Mamba on top, Winter Yeti below.
CCF pad in the foot box reaching to behind the knees.
Wore smartwool tights, Marmot Driclime shirt, Nunatak balaclava, and down socks.
No hammock sock, no burrito, no undershield, no tarp, no beaks. Left the netting unzipped; these omissions weren't by design, I was just worn out and didn't take the time to put any of them on.

Thought I'd edit and give some weights so those new might get an idea of potential winter camping loads
5 pounds 4 ounces:
Warbonnet Blackbird 1.1 double bottom
Winter Yeti with liner
Winter Mamba
Down socks
Nunatak balaclava

Add a McCat Ultra spinnUL and 2 TQ/ZQ GrizzBeaks 7lb 1 ounce
Add a cook kit:
MLD Caldera Cone/alcohol stove/pot
Long handled Ti spoon
MSR coffee filter
2 x 4oz Tinny bottles with Heet
Snow Peak single wall coffee cup
Bic lighter
Black Diamond Orbit with lithium batteries
and add a CCF Pad for the sleep system 8lb 9 ounce

Add some camp clothes
Nunatak down pants
WM Flash Jacket
Add MLD Gaiters
MLD Mits
bucket hat
Sierra Designs Ion Jacket (wind/rain)
Throw in a headlamp and some Aqua-Mira
And put it all in a Gossamer Gear Mariposa------13 pounds 9 ounces

Since this is for winter trekking add
Kahtoola Lightweight Campons
and a stainless steel Nalgene, for both you're adding 1 pound 14 ounces.
The lightweigt crampons are far beyond Microspikes and that extra
fuel bottle is for heating the Nalgene up before sleep.

Anyway had some time to kill and the scale was handy.

MM - I'm glad you had the extra time and scale... that was a good read. Nicely done at that temp. Once you break the freezing mark, your gear really needs to perform well - looks like yours did.

Nice cold weather test MM. The world is even more magical from a hammock when you're hanging in a winter wonderland.

Well its been over 2.5 months now since I've seen ground up here...currently sitting on 10 inches and soon to add a few more.
Patrick I did sleep warm and solid minus one pee break.
When I first hopped in and settled a bit I felt a cold band....it was where my ccf in the footbox was too short to meet up with the w.yeti. I switched out for a longer pad and then slept solid.
