I have been making both whoopies slings and adjustable ridge lines and haven't noticed any issues at all

No it does not. The tracer just a different color Dyneema thread. Only about 1/2 the threads in just one strand are a different color. As you probally know, the 7/64" Amsteel is an 8 strand rope. I am not sure how many threads are in a strand.

Bottom line: you can hardly see it. I purchased the blue and it has a green tracer. Very intermittently you see the green and then only close up. From more than 2 feet away you cannot see it at all.

Here are close ups of the UCR I made and as you can see the tracer is not obtrusive.

Just so I'm clear on this, the tracer referred here isn't a reflective tracer -- it's just a different color strand. Correct?

I am in the same boat - did not know this rule.

I just received 600 feet of blue. Anyone want to trade 100-200 feet of any other color? If so, please send a PM. Thanks.

I have silver I'd be willing to trade. How about 100'?

Glad I saw this thread. I almost paid $20+ for 100' somewhere else. Instead, I just grabbed 600' of blue for $64.95. Looking forward to leaning splices. I need to make a dozen or more continuous loops for various projects, a half dozen ridge lines, and who knows after that.

If you want some first hand experience and an awesome time hanging, I'd recommend checking out one of the upcoming hangs up here in NC. The Yates hang in particular is amazing, its probably around 4 hours from you, and its at the beginning of November. I'll be showing some others how to splice at these hangs, I'd be happy to teach you as well!

Thanks for the invite, but our Scout Troop has a big event that weekend and I'm sure I'll "volun-told" to help out somehow.

I'm looking to make a bunch of hammocks for friends. Finding this saved me a bunch of money. In for 1200 of silver.
