Minifly or Thunderfly?

I like it's simplicity...I was concerned about the coverage but I have the beak nose tipped up at the moment on a CRL which I don't plan to be using in the field.

It's the width I was worried about, specifically in porch mode. I like a lot. But the doors on this minifly...perfect.

Spent Saturday night under my new minifly in over four HOURS of nonstop torrential downpour. I was very worried about drip line but I stayed dry all night. Almost constant light with all the lightning. The wind wasn't bad because we were in the forest. The thunder was AMAZING!

I am EXTREMELY impressed with the Minifly and I want to do that again!!!

A question about porch mode raised by this photo: with tall poles for porch mode, does water drain towards the ridgeline? Does it then pool and cause problems? Or would you never have such a tall porch mode in the rain?

You just lower one pole and it runs off.....
