Biggest difference is the zipper configuration.
Good luck!

I have a Sparrow that I got about a year ago. The craftsmanship is outstanding, very comfortable and just really an outstanding product. Here are pic's and all the details.

Rick...
We have both the Thunderbird I got off this forum from another member here. Liked it so much I ordered the sparrow loaded. The sparrow is heavier than the thunderbird and zipper are different. They are both Hyper D with the sparrow being a DL. Love them both. I would say the Sparrow is my Cadillac and the Thunderbird is the sport car. I love the openness of the DH very roomy and I can always find the sweat spot even with a not so good hang. You can't go wrong a Dream Hammock.
Good luck on your choice.

Hey BikecampRU, what tarp is that?
Very nice tandem setup!

The Tarp with tandem hang is a UGQ winter dream in Fallen Branch.
The tarp over the Thunderbird is a super fly.
Thanks for the info
