Hey! My name is Tim. I got into hammock camping about a year ago. My buddy and I had been talking about going camping for about 9 years and never actually did it until last year. I used to camp all of the time when I was a kid and only used tents. Before we went on our trip we both bought camping hammocks and when I used it I got the best sleep I've gotten in years! When I got back I found Shug on youtube and watched pretty much all of his videos and hammock camping has now become kind of an obsession for me, lol. That happens to me sometimes. I got into wet shaving and started making brushes and buying all kinds of soaps and now I have started making and collecting hammock gear. I've made the Costco under and top quilts, I've made a winter tarp, I've made fancey feast stoves, Foster's pots and cozy's for them. They all work great too! Now I just got a hammock kit from ripstopbytheroll to make a hammock too. I figured it was about time for me to join the forums too. I am going to my cabin in Ohio in a few weeks and I can't wait to camp outside in the cold! Looking forward to getting involved here and see what I can learn!
