Hey all,
I am wondering if anyone is interested in doing a hang at Afton Park in MN. I will be reserving Thursday, March 15th, and Friday, March 16th. Main goals are getting away, testing gear, and having fun.
I've got 5 spot available, but there are tons of sites open.

Also, I know the dates are awkward, but it's the nicest two consecutive days. Can add Saturday too. Don't have to be there both nights, no limits here. Just want to make the offer.
Dang! I'd love to hit Alton, but the schedule is booked up on those days.
Are you planning on taking one of the group campsites or the hiking into the Backpacking sites? The backpacking sites you may need skis if they are still grooming the trails. It would be great if they are back to being hiking/snowshoeing. Sites 5&6(Backpacking) are my preferred for Afton.
This sounds like a good time, work gets in the way though.

Thanks for the info Max. I could go for 6 or 12. Both have been mentioned as prime hammock spots. I'll be hiking in Thursday afternoon, and leaving Friday afternoon now, rather than the original 2 day thing. That will keep it open for the potential weekenders, and will avoid the REI event that's going on Saturday and Sunday as well.

I wish I would have seen this sooner. I would have gone, but sadly I’m terrible at checking the forums on any regular basis. I need to get better about checking in.
