Knots for Cord Suspension

Despite the fact that the Hennessy lashing works, I find it tedious to untie and adjust. So I started looking at other options and liked the Evenk/Siberian Hitch. This knot is secure and easy for me to tie, but I'm finding that the cord of the Hennessy binds and doesn't allow the knot to explode, which defeats the main advantage. The binding has also caused fraying of the rope, which I don't think has only affected the sheathing, but still concerns me a bit.

I'm wanting to keep the cord suspension, and I don't want to add rings or a marlin spike because I don't want extra stuff. So, what knot could I safely use that will be easy to adjust and not bind? I watched Grizz's videos, but those involve rings and sticks. What knot can I use that won't involve extra stuff, won't bind in the Spectra, and yet is still easy for an ignoramus like myself to remember?

Slipped buntline hitch. Easy knot, very secure, yet still easy to untie since it's a slipped knot.

You're right the lashing works, but it is indeed tedious to untie and adjust. That is the reason people have started to switch to webbing straps and whoopie slings instead. They are super easy to adjust.

The problem you re going to face is that the knots that work well are going to be really hard to untie after being loaded with your body weight. If you think that the lashing is tedious, try untying an impossible knot every time you want to make an adjustment.

I don't know of any better solution than the original lashing, but here are a few ideas you could experiment with:
anchor bend is really strong
Double figure eight is easier to untie after loading

Hootch is right, the Slipped Buntline is probably the best. Warbonnetguy has how to tie it in his Set up video for the supper fly tarp, but he uses it as well for rope suspension on the BB.

Another option is to do the figure-eight lashing around a caribiner. To undo the lashing slip it off the caribiner.

So use a carabiner instead of a marlin spike? I'm trying to picture this, and recall seeing it somewhere before. I normally don't carry 'biners with me, but I'm not opposed to it.

What you see in this image is a line from the hammock, spiraling around the long side of the 'biner and out the top, around some object (tree) and back to a loop attached to the 'biner. This spiral allows the 'biner to adjust by sliding up and down the cord.

Thanks WarmSoda. I gave this a try, and despite my aversion to add any additional hardware or weight--I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. This is so incredibly easy to adjust for a small weight penalty. Now the trick is to find the lightest ring/carabiner that will hold the weight!
