Polyester stretches a bit less. PolyPro is typically a little lighter for the same width and thickness. Both are good choices for hanging.
“I think that when the lies are all told and forgot the truth will be there yet. It dont move about from place to place and it dont change from time to time. You cant corrupt it any more than you can salt salt.” - Cormac McCarthy
Polypropylene is also weaker; be sure to check breaking strength.
I like a little stretch because it gives better contact with the irregularities of tree bark, &c.
Polyester and polypro are both less stretchy than nylon by a good bit... Polypro is less stretchy than the polyester, it is also, as stated, lighter... It also absorbs less, better for dry hanging in wet conditions... Trade off is that it is grenerally rated around 700/750, which is plenty fine for hanging use, unless one is using extremely taut suspension with fixed ridge lines and cinch buckles or even cams.
