7th Annual Black Hills Hang, Sheridan Lake SD, August 23rd, 24th & 25th

site is booked for the 7th annual black hills hang, dates for this years hang are aug. 23rd, 24th, 25th, departing on the 26th, it will be at the group site "SS1/Squirrel" at sheridan lake, same as in the past, there is no cost to attend the hang and everyone is welcome

as always we will be supplying the proteins for dinner on friday and saturday night (i'll let you know what when it gets closer) if you can can bring a side dish for those nights that would be great, lunch and breakfast you are on your own, for some reason we always seem to have a table full of food for those meals too tho, i am sure mamaboot will do chili for thursday night per usual

we will do t-shirts as usual, i will post the design when we come up with it

if you know you are going to come please post in this thread so i can have an idea for number and plan accordingly

hope to see everyone in a couple of months, it will be here before we know it!

2 of us from Pierre for sure, may have 1 or 2 more but won't know till closer and will let you know in advance. One 3x and one 2x tee for sure.

for full disclosure.......sodakgrrl and i will be getting married saturday night of the hang, we were waiting till immediate family knew before we posted it here, but we also thought it was a good idea to let everyone know so nobody was surprised by it and made to feel awkward in any way, it really isn't going to be a big deal and we really hope it doesn't keep anyone from coming, but wanted it out there so that people knew about it

We'll have chili and another option for Thursday evening as usual. Papaboot and Mamaboot will be bringing wine, beer, and cider for Saturday night-probably enough for other nights as well. We're both looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones!

Just wanted to chime in about the festivities for Saturday night. The wedding is scheduled for 5:30, will be very casual, and should interrupt the Hang for about 30 minutes. As boothill wrote, we hope this doesn't keep anyone away. It is just a good way for us to include our hanging friends along with our families in the occasion. There will be lots of food and (optional) drinking afterward!

We are also planning the Cornhole-Tournament-to-end-all-Cornhole-Tournaments!

A side note I am ordained if needed and will already be there.. This is first time attending and you don't know me just thought would put it out there.

Congratulations on the wedding. Are we to understand the wedding will be at the hang? That would have to be a first for Hammock Forums.
