    Hey y'all!

    I live in Summerville, SC and do lots of camping on Capers Island here and have been hiking/camping around upstate SC (where I'm from) since I was 12. My friends all have hammocks and keep telling me I won't go back to ground-sleeping!

    I have been doing a ton of reading here and just bought a ENO Singlenest. I will be doing my first hang in a couple weeks in Pisgah near the fish hatchery, then a backpacking trip on the A.T. later this year. I still haven't decided on a suspension system yet.

    Anyway, I can't wait to try it out!

    Welcome to the forum. I am in Abbeville. I will be on Edisto Island at the State Park this weekend with my daughter. I won't be in a hammock though since i don't have insulation that will get me through the night in these temps.

    Welcome! That's a nice stretch of Pisgah just north of Brevard were the Fish Hatchery & a lot of other neat stuff can be found!

    I'll second that.
    I've camped with the scouts several times at Cove Creek, just a couple of miles past the fish hatchery. We hiked the Looking Glass Rock Trail, practically across the road from it. Pink Beds, Graveyard Field... lots of great places around Brevard.
    So, HannahsDaddy, where are you planning to go?
