I folded and folded from the outer edge to the center , till I couldn't get a fold anymore,,,,
to adjust the bottom, I pulled the center bottom fold out ( down a tad ) before I tied it.....

The material, is just a heavy weave, 100 % nylon.....

Randy will have to answer this one for sure but I could swear he said he got the fabric at Wal-Mart. He'll have to provide details as to exactly what it's made from.
The material came from Walmart.... Hancock Fabrics has the same stuff but more expensive,,,,,,

That sounds like what I did w/ mine, (pulled the center bottom fold out) & it seams to lay flatter that way.
Looks like the exact same Wal-mart fabric I made my last one out of. I've spent every night in it for close to 3 years now.
'I just took it down to wash it & inspect the gathered ends were the webbing holds my weight, & I could see no sign of wear.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

The foot box straps are a nice idea! I was telling about something similar I did w/ my ENO double a few years ago but I don't thin anyone caught on at the time.

It really did make a huge difference at no real added weight. The edges overlapped & held together by two sets of velcro. I've been planning to do that again but just haven't got around to it.
BTW, I lent that ENO to a friend & haven't seen it since<G>.

Now all I need to do is find a leftover little sil-nylon bag to stuff this thing into.

I wonder how much the length affects it?
