after reading through the posts here, I'm curios to see what people are using. I figure there are really 4 types: tarps smaller than 10x10, big tarpes. pup tents witch touch the ground and may have doors, and wall tents with doors and pullouts.
small tarp
big tarp
pup tent

'Classic.' A book which people praise and don't read.” ― Mark Twain
Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.
There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.
no tarp as a tent.
Whooooo Buddy)))) All Secure in Sector Seven
I have a OES MacCat Deluxe and Warbonnet Superfly with removable doors. Have only used the Superfly on one winter trip so far but I really like the roominess it provides. My MacCat Deluxe is probably going to get relegated to summer use or back-up duty only now due to the versatility the Superfly gives me.
I voted small tarp since my go to is an OES Spinntex Standard width in Deluxe length. I still use my silnylon Deluxe in the dead of winter to stop wind and spindrift snow, and that's as big as I'm ever likely to go.
I ♥ my Warbonnet
I think the superfly is more of a tent than a tarp.
HH Hex...and I love it!
