The greatest iPad/iPhone holder for hammocks!

Believe it or not, this thing works great in a hammock! It has rounded rubber feet and is adjustable and works with phones too. I notice that there is currently a coupon for $20 off the usual $40 if you order now and be sure to check the little box before adding to your cart. It’s rock solid, which is not too common for these stands. Or use it on the ground, couch, bed etc. Your welcome!

Too bad there's no wifi in the woods. Thanks for the info though. My daughter might like it for holding her ipad when she camps. Maybe she would go more often if I got this latest bit of gear.

WiFi?! You must be an old geezer… because you should know that you can pre-download all sorts of things like Netflix stuff, YouTube stuff, iTunes stuff, etc. Great for car camping and indoor/backyard hangs.

I prefer to not have too many electronic distractions in the woods. I have enough of that at home, but my daughter would like it.

I totally get it. I feel the same. But at home, when you have to choose between hang or watch a movie comfortably, you can now do BOTH!

Good idea but - ouch it weighs 2 lbs. That's just too much. The hang time hook works very well for a phone and only weighs a few ounces.

I have an HT Hook. It’s neat, but it is too sensitive to motion/rocking for me to really love it as a movie mount. I also wish I could attach the hook itself while laying in the hammock, but nope. I’ll keep playing with it though.

I like to use it as ridge-light. Meaning I turn on the flashlight on my phone while it’s hanging. I also use it as a ridge-fan, like so:

But no one, not even me, would take this backpacking! Maybe car camping though. But I’ll use it frequently at home because I really don’t ever use my TV.

That's cool, No pun intended. I might have to grab one of those hang time hooks!

There are a couple things you can try to steady it from rocking. The inventor has previously recommended using shock cord tied out to either side of the hammock, but I've had good success with simply larks-heading an elastic hair tie to my ridge-line and looping that around the tab on the back. Provides just enough friction between the device and the ridge-line to prevent sliding and minimize rocking.

I also think you're underestimating the potential of this thing for backpacking. It only weighs 1.6oz, which should only be objectionable to extreme gram weenies. In my experience, there's nothing so relaxing at the end of long day of hiking than lounging in my hammock and binging some Netflix.
