Bought a couple extra and they are now in my cordage bag.
Just had a DUH moment.. I need to put a few of the rings in my repair kit. Thank you..

Contacted Warbonnet and they sent me two new ones. If I had known they sell them Id have just bought them.
Something stronger.. defeats the purpose IMHO. I bought a ten pack of Ti split rings from Amazon.. when I got them in hand I realized that though they were lighter than the stainless rings they were darn near impossible to open.. probably 200- 300lb test.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

I agree with spec'ing the rings as your first point of failure... but my experience differs as my Ti rings opened up under normal tarp setup/tensioning, with not even a breeze in the air. The stainless rings I had on my last tarp were far stronger. They held up to not only a really taut CRL and pulling the NAMA Claws as tight as I could get them, but some really stiff winds on top of that, and without any sign of give. So I'm going back to SS from Ti not because SS is weaker, but because it's strong enough to at least let me use my tarp.

Can't argue that. In fact... would you share the source of your Ti split rings please?
