Texas Special Pound Hawg Lite Series

I made these a few weeks ago, and had a chance to "add to" on the bottom one. This weighs 1.01, including the web straps and cam buckles.

After using the foot box straps on The "Pound Hawg",,,(Alan's hammock) I added 3 to this one instead of 2 and used a thicker strap, that is easier to tie and un-tie when your fingers are cold. The straps on the foot box end, help keep the pads and sleeping bags from crawling over the edge during the night.

    The End Socks,

And a cell phone bag,,,, attached at the head end, above the sleeping bag. Those pouches/stuff bags on the sides of my some of my other hammocks are a pain to put stuff in and my phone ends up "Butt Dialing " somebody in the middle of the night when I toss and turn.

A cotton pillow case for the pillow,(note the cell phone bag above the sleeping bag)

I still have to put the ribbon on the edges of the "Liner/Pad", but I have to say I am impressed with that "Insul-Bright " material. Just one layer of fleece, the Insul-Bright, and the nylon skin, makes my little sewing machine cry,,,,,I have been using just a fleece throw folded in half and placed inside the bottom of the sleeping bag, and have been able to very comfortably, in freezing and below freezing temps. last night didn't get as cold as I wanted, 39*. And this did very very well.
    Liner/Pad weighs 1.24 ,

Laid out inside the ECW bag.

I found a ZERO degree ,50" childs sleeping bag today for Tristan, It fits perfect in his "Cub Hammock", we are gonna "sleep out" tonight, before it starts raining this weekend.

I'm anxious to see how this turns out for you and the little man tonight.

The liner pad doesn't move around on you while in the ECW?
Is it tapered toward the end so that it fits the foot end of the ECW?

The liner/pad is just 24 x 72 ,, no taper,,,, it didn't move around at all last night.

So I guess it's soft and pliable enough not to bunch up beneath you like some pads do, right?

Actually, it is kinda thick, with all three layers, but yes, soft enough to fold in half even after it is rolled up.

The ECW bag is already an incredible piece of gear but I'm really interested in hearing how your new liner/pad does for you tonight.

I gotta say that pic of you and your son is cuter than cute. How cool is it to have matching hammocks and bags , Dad & son. Have a great night

I like the extend pole mod on your hammock stand. I have one of those stand that I don't care for, but with a pole extended Looks like a doable solution.
