I use a Sea to Summit waterproof backpack over liner as gear hammock under my hammock and am very content with it, especially in winter or rainy weather. I never tried it with a Fronkey bugnet, but I guess that would be problematic. I think you can hang it on the ridgeline, or on the head end and tie-out if you have tie-outs on your hammock.

I often hang my gear hammock from my hammock ridge line using prusik knots. I have seen them hung along side and underneath but at the height I suspend my hammock, it would be on the ground.

l set up a gear hammock first by folding it in half.... tie the both ends together using a few inches of cord and leaving enough for a small loop, then snap on a mini carabineer and clipped this to the ridge line loop/suspension. I locate this down at the footend of the hammock, where it becomes a handy gear sling.

My gear hammock connects right to my hammocks beaners.

Side note since we are both riders- i also use a collapsible duffle to hold my Moto suit boots and helmet. When done it folds in to a flat square. Itís the blue duffle in the photos.
