Flatwoods picnic area of Laurel Lake by permit. Please give me an idea of how many people will be attending with your party!

This area has a convenient boat dock, and lake shore hiking trails as well as great swimming spots!!

Nearby marinas have boat rentals, there is a vault toilet close by. You will need to bring your own drinking/cooking water. I am not sure on meals at this moment but I am thinking Saturday evening do a potluck!

This is a car camping area, you do not have to hike to the site. It is very convenient to town with the feel of being out in the back woods!

If I can make this, it will be just me...no guests. I just spent 4days/3nights in the Red River Gorge. The heat was getting to me! I am a little reluctant to plan a Summer over-nighter LOL. I think I lost 5 lbs in 4 days!

Lol that works! We will be literally right on the lake! Plenty of shade, plenty of cool water....and I am quite sure a few wild animals lol!!!

On the up side we will be right by the lake! Always great to hop in and cool off!!!

Hey guys, if anyone wants to do a little bit of local sightseeing I would be up for taking yall to a local cave or 2. Plus a couple natural arches in the area. All withing a 20 to 30 minute drive of the location we will be at!
