    20D or 30D Minifly?

I have no opinion on this.
Can someone explain to me why I would want one over the other?
    Besides the weight difference.....

Besides weight, also a little bulk. Is the extra robustness of 30D needed?

When getting something like this, it's usually because the extra weight and bulk of a larger tarp with more coverage simply aren't needed because it will be used in milder conditions.

But if weight and bulk are truly of no concern, might as well stick with the current tarp and pitch it in porch mode.

Therefore, to me — an unabashed ULer! — it makes sense to get the 20D and enjoy a bit more weight/volume savings.
