Myself and four other rookies intend to do a three day treck of a section of the trail in June. We are thinking of going in at Caraboo Falls and exiting at Oberg Mountain. Any insight about this area would be greatly appreciated. Three of us are adults and two ar minors. Three of us intend to hang and the rest tent.

Great walk...if you mean Caribou River Wayside north to Oberg.
Keep in ming that the 10 miles from Temperance River through Carlton and Britton Peak has no camping! Plan accordingly.

My wife and I, 2 years ago, did part of this same route as hiking rookies. It was our first ever hike. Carlton is no joke. I thought it was a very challenging area and it nearly broke me.
Learned a lot since then, but man... Carlton... whew.
