Combining tarps

Does anybody have a specific way to pitch 2 tarps together to cover 2 hammockers to make some sort of mega tarp shelter? I'm imagining in a heavy downpour, if the 2 hammocker both pitched there tarps in standard "A-Frame" styles then the space in between the two tarps would be subject to heavy dripping and causing splashing/puddling. Thoughts?

It can be done--the trick is to pitch the two overlapping sides at such an angle that water from one doesn't flow under the other and directly onto occupant of the neighboring hammock. It's also worth keeping an eye out for puddles beginning to form on top.

This was pretty early on in our experimenting with this concept... We've since improved on the technique significantly, but this was the only picture I could find.
