Perhaps it would be a good time for those who haven't already to indicate their intentions for planning purposes? If no weekenders coming we will only be limited by the wind & our whiskey supply.

    I'm Wed Aug 1 to Tues-Wed (Aug 7-8).

As for a route, if we look at the second map at the beginning of this thread, Garbage Bay is about an hour west of the bottom left of the map, a solid 6 hours of paddling from Hartley Bay. If we have no weekenders coming in, then there's no reason we can't break the push for the Bay into two days. We should get guidance on whether there's a recommended southern/northern preference for either the Main Canoe Channel or the Eastern Outlet.

Day 1/Wed camp somewhere near Little Dalles Rapids between Moosehorn Bay, the French River Village and Sand Bay.
Day 2/Thu: Continue on to Garbage Bay.
Days 3-5/Fri-Mon: Cruise or base camp on the coast as weather and our fancy permits, ultimately staging near Scow Bay. Possible excursion to Bustard Islands depending on weather.
Day 6/Tue: Extended Lollygagging and/or head back up the Eastern Outlet to Exit.
Day 7/Wed: Head back up the Eastern Outlet to Exit .

I'm up for anything that isn't marked with red on the map. Those are noted as "Red routes can be extremely difficult and in terrible condition. Not for the faint of heart. High pain Tolerance and excellent navigational abilities required" No thanks.
I'm looking to come in on Wed 1st and head out originally Aug 7th a Tuesday but can easily be talked into Wed.

I'd like to see the canoe channel on the way out. Save us covering the same ground twice. Really looking forward to this.

Sweet! I'm definitely in for Wednesday also. I didn't want you to make the paddle out solo.

I am in Wednesday to Wednesday as well.

Just got back on Sunday from a week-long Paddle with my daughters up in Haliburton and I am already itching to get back out.

I guess Wed-Wed is the plan. I'm in.

p.s. Need to pick up a canoe so likely won't be there before noon.

I don't think I've ever seen such unanimity! Wed to Wed it is. This is going to be good!

Does anybody have a solar panel with usb output to recharge camera batteries? I'm going to bring a couple of power bricks but I never know if it'll be enough.

My last trip to the Bay, 20+ years ago. Still using the same pack!!

I'm disappointed I can't make it, I've got family commitments that week.

    Have fun and happy tenting?
